I have a nighttime routine before bed that involves scrolling through all of my social media apps, playing a couple of games, and checking my email. When I saw that I had received the email, my heart literally skipped a beat! I felt an immediate rush of excitement and disbelief all at the same time.
Trying not to scream—because my precious baby was sleeping next to me—I quietly whispered, “They emailed me,” to my husband.
After receiving the official letter saying I was going to be a contestant, I immediately started practicing by watching 4–5 episodes a night, and I was only allowed to solve them. My husband helped me by giving clues on how to think about the puzzles.
This experience has taught me that literally anything is possible!
I remember, as a little girl, watching Wheel of Fortune with my grandparents as they called out letters—and got mad when the person they were rooting for didn’t win. I continued to watch Wheel as an adult, and I never thought I’d have the opportunity to be on the show.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience is something I was able to share with my husband, my mother-in-law, and my son.
