We were so excited to get the announcement — I had been selected to be part of this iconic game show! I ran around the house telling my wife and two teenage kids the news: I’m going to be on Wheel of Fortune!

Over 15 years ago, my family and I were on Family Feud, so this felt like a full-circle moment. I couldn’t wait to call my parents and sisters to share the news — another game show adventure!

When we arrived at Sony Studios, we were welcomed by the production team, and shortly after, Vanna White came down to meet us — which was really special. From start to finish, everyone in production was incredibly kind and helpful.

We were set up in Jeopardy’s studio for hair, makeup, and taping prep, and the energy was buzzing. I joked with the other contestants that the only category I didn’t want was “Song Title” — and, of course, that ended up being one of my puzzles!

Let me tell you — the Wheel looks smaller in person but it’s no joke: it weighs over 2,400 pounds (if I remember correctly). Still, Ryan and Vanna made it all feel easy and fun from the moment we walked out.

One of the highlights was having my wife and daughter join me for the Bonus Round. I’m not even sure if I looked over at Ryan after solving the bonus puzzle — I was too thrilled, caught up in the moment, celebrating with my family on stage.

Even better, my grandmother and aunt were in the audience, soaking up the experience and enjoying every minute of the show.

The whole day was just so much fun — a joyful, unforgettable experience I’ll always cherish.
