(May 30, 2016) – In episodes that aired today, JEOPARDY! and Wheel of Fortune announced that Harry Friedman, the executive producer of both long-running syndicated shows, has set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS record for Most game show episodes produced. One of television’s most prolific producers, Friedman claimed the record by having produced 11,128 game show episodes at the time of adjudication (March 31, 2016).

“I’m incredibly honored to have set a new world record certified by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS,” said Friedman. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to take a moment to reflect on how fortunate I’ve been to have enjoyed such a rewarding career in television.”

Friedman joined Wheel of Fortune as a producer in 1995 and added producer duties for JEOPARDY! in 1997. His new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS achievement encompasses the thousands of episodes he produced for the two programs, and also includes his work on JEOPARDY! spinoffs “Rock & Roll Jeopardy!” (VH1, 1998-2001), and “Jep!” (Game Show Network, 1998-2000). His record also includes episodes he produced prior to joining Wheel of Fortune and JEOPARDY!, including “Hollywood Squares,” “The New Hollywood Squares,” “Personals,” and “Caesar’s Challenge.”

Today marks the third time Friedman has set a record certified by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS; he also holds the records for Most Emmy® Award nominations for a game show producer with 42 and Most Emmy® Award wins by a game show producer with 13.
