
Jacob Young joined the cast of “All My Children” in the coveted role of JR Chandler in September 2003, receiving a Daytime Emmy award nomination within his first year on the show. He received his second nomination for this role in 2005.
In 2000, Mr. Young joined the cast of “General Hospital” playing to role of Lucky Spencer and took home the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Lead Actor in May, 2002.
Mr. Young portrayed Rick Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” during which he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Lead Actor. His feature film credit include: “The Girl Next Door,” with additional television credits including the ABC movie, “Beach Boys: An All American Family“ and guest starred in ABC’s “Hope & Faith.”
Growing up in Washington State, Mr. Young began to showcase his talent in leading roles stage productions of “Guys and Dolls,” “Grease,” “The Wizard of Oz” and “Our Town.” He has performed in two ABC Daytime benefits in support of Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS.
On May 9th, 2006 Mr. Young made his Broadway debut in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” playing the role of Lumiere, the candlestick.
Mr. Young’s talents by far surpass the television, film and stage, having released his self- titled CD “Jacob Young,” in 2001.
